Figcoms is a workflow platform built on a simple idea: Figma comments are powerful, but the work around them is broken. Instead of pulling teams out of Figma, Figcoms extends it , turning scattered comments into a structured, syncable workflow that lives where the work already happens.

(THE PROBLEM)
Figcoms grew out of working with development and design teams at Elementor and Salesforce. Feedback lived in Figma comments and spilled into conversations outside the file, and nobody could tell at a glance what was waiting, in progress, under review, or done.
(THE CONSTRAINT)
Two people, four months. The workflow had to stay lightweight and sit inside the way teams already used Figma - not ask them to adopt a project-management system on top of it.
(THE DECISION)
The early controls added complexity to a process that was supposed to get simpler. They were replaced with an emoji-based status system and four states: Backlog, Working, In Review, Done. A smaller model that makes progress visible without turning every comment into a form.
(VALIDATION)
The real validation came after launch. Figcoms went up on Product Hunt and ranked #33 among the products launched that day. The feedback that followed - on a product already live - reinforced the call to simplify: fewer controls, less asked of the user.
(WHAT CHANGED)
A working product used on real projects, not a portfolio prototype. Product Hunt gave it an outside read; real design and development workflows showed exactly where it needed to get lighter and more immediate.

Process

  1. 01

    Research & Context

We mapped how teams actually use Figma comments today. The pain pointed to ownership, priority, and continuity , not to Figma itself.

  2. 02

    Concept & Flow

The core mechanic became “one link, instant clarity.” Paste a Figma URL, get an organized workspace built around four states every team already speaks.

  3. 03

    UX/UI & Interaction

Soft cards, generous whitespace, and a typographic hierarchy that lets the comment lead. Emoji-based status changes replaced heavy controls.

  4. 04

    System & Experience

Identity, motion language, and landing page were built in parallel with the app so marketing and product speak one sentence.

How It Works

The Figcoms flow is built around one promise , one link, instant clarity. Paste a Figma URL and get an organized workspace where every comment becomes a task with an owner, a status, and a thread. A real-time sync layer pushes every status change, reaction, and resolution back into Figma , what your team sees in Figcoms is exactly what they see in the file.

The Board

The interface had to look like a workflow tool without feeling like one. A Kanban-style flow across Backlog → Working → In Review → Done, stress-tested on real projects before any pixel was drawn.

In The Detail

Soft cards, generous whitespace, and emoji-based status changes , fewer clicks, more personality, and a language teams already speak inside Figma.
